AIM Health Institute was created to pursue three intertwined goals that support its mission: Patient care, research, and education.
Patient care. AIM serves patients regardless of ability to pay. To our patients, we offer:
- Medical and naturopathic office visits for preventive primary care and acute conditions.
- Massage, acupuncture, nutrition consultations, health coaching, Yoga, Reiki, hypnotherapy, meditation, and biofeedback.
- Adjunctive supportive therapies for patients with cancer.
- Group medical visits (shared medical appointments). Building on the benefits of group therapy, AIM Institute holds group meetings for patients with the same common chronic condition, such as cancer, hypertension, insomnia, or diabetes. During a two-hour visit patients are individually evaluated by a physician or a medical resident. They also participate in a group discussion session about their condition, and receive a complementary therapy of their choice, such as yoga, acupuncture, or a massage.

Research. AIM Institute collects data for analyses of effectiveness of integrative medicine therapies, and effects on health outcomes. Can a patient with diabetic neuropathy benefit from acupuncture? Will Yoga help a cancer patient overcome fatigue and anxiety?
Education. AIM aims to educate future medical practitioners and the public about the benefits of integrative medicine.
Being life-long learners, we love students. We believe that patient-driven demand for integrative medicine services calls for providing future doctors with knowledge about integrative medicine, which at present is not widely incorporated into medical schools’ curricula. Please visit our Students page to learn how we contribute to the knowledge of the doctors of the future.
For patients, friends, caregivers, and the public, AIM offers several educational programs. In creating those programs, our goal was not to “give a man a fish to feed him for a day”, but to “teach him fishing to feed him for a lifetime.” We do not lecture, we provide tools, support, and empowerment.
