Moving Healing Forward: SHO Reatreat 2019

Get ready to gather for a deep dive into the heart to explore ways to heal ourselves and our world. This retreat is for all who offer healing to others in their work or personal life.

When people learn to recognize their innate ability to progress towards wellness, their feeling of empowerment activates informed participation in their general health.

Faculty for this three-day event, composed of teachers from both the SHO and AIM, will open with a general orientation followed by presentations and breakout sessions focused on the following healing topics and practices:

  • Avoiding, Managing and Reducing Stress
  • Visualization, Contemplation and Meditation
  • Holistic Wellness and Healing
  • Healthy Lifestyles
  • Spiritual Values and Wellness Programs
  • Breath, Sound and Music
  • Rituals and Stress Reduction
  • Movement and Exercise

Finding and maintaining a healthful connection with the world around you

  • Harmony Through Reflective Listening and Social Interaction
  • And much more!

There will be opportunity for optional participation in daily exercises, such as chi gong, gentle stretching, yoga, stress reduction, and meditation. The retreat also will include time for rest, reflection, and connecting with other healers and leaders.

The retreat and workshops are open to all who are interested and does not require any religious or spiritual belief or affiliation. These events are educational in nature and do not involve diagnosis, treatment, or any doctor- or therapist-patient relationship. Participants are strongly encouraged to review any areas and practices of interest with their ongoing caregivers.
