In her career as a dance educator, Safi Harriott has worked at the intersection of arts access and individual and social wellness for the better part of a decade. She holds a BA in Anthropology and Dance from Bard College, and an MFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Smith College. Her primary point of focus has been on intra-community violence reduction and individual resilience. She has performed this work in dialogue with practitioners in fields such as acupuncture, massage, nutrition, and mental health services. Safi is very excited to pursue the connections between this body of work and AIM Health Institute’s focus on whole person healing.
